PARKING LOGISTICS LEAD (Vancouver, Full-Time / Part-Time)

WestPark is looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual to join our Operations team. This is a part-time position that requires evenings and weekend shifts.

Hours vary based on operational needs (typically 4.5 to 5 hour shifts). This position pays $18.00 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise Event Hosts and Flaggers from the start of the shift, as well as, throughout the event
  • Proactively reassign host positions throughout the event as needed
  • Distribute event vouchers and floats to Event Host staff at the start of shift
  • Assist and supervise staff during end of shift cash outs
  • Monitor surrounding lots and report any activities of interest, rate comparisons and traffic levels to Manager
  • Communicate to Supervisor when change for floats are needed from the bank
  • Prepare and send end of event reports and stats to designated Managers
  • Ensure meters are displaying the correct rates for the event
  • Liaise with other groups on the lot to ensure they are occupying only their agreed upon area and report they are aware of the other activities on the lot that could impact their operations on the lot
  • Assist guests with event ticket purchasing through cash or metered tickets
  • Assist with parking, traffic control, flagging and parking inventory management
  • Set up of parking areas with signs and cones prior to the start of an event
  • Handle any guest escalations in a helpful and courteous manner
  • Ensure the event truck is sufficiently fueled before finishing shift

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 year of customer service experience
  • Experience handling cash is a must
  • Previous Key-holder experience is preferred
  • Previous supervision experience
  • Experience with logistics
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

CASHIER (Vancouver, Part-Time)

WestPark is looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual to join our Valet team at a 5-star Vancouver hotel. This is a part-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform cashier duties and provide excellent customer service to all departing guests
  • Monitor key storage and retrievals
  • Assist with taxi call volumes when necessary
  • Prepare summaries for cash, check and credit card activities
  • Ensure all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments
  • Verify valet rates and post them to guest accounts
  • Monitor the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
  • Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Balance the day’s charges, making corrections as necessary
  • Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Experience handling cash is an asset
  • Previous cashier experience is an asset
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check

PARKING HOSTS (Greater Vancouver, Part-Time / Casual)

WestPark is looking for reliable, high energy, customer-focused Parking Hosts to work in our various parking facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests and provide parking directions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and establish a rapport with all guests
  • Direct vehicles into the parking lots and stalls
  • Troubleshoot minor issues in office and parking equipment, pay stations and machinery as well as following-up with Technical Support team to arrange maintenance when needed, so that to secure smooth operations.
  • Professionally answer all incoming telephone calls and emails and relaying messages as required.
  • Keep clean office/booth, entrance and exit areas
  • Eventually assisting other departments with administrative duties as required
  • Other responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties as requested by management

LEAD VALET / RECRUITER (Vancouver, Full-time)

WestPark is looking for an energetic, organized and customer-focused individual to join our Valet team in Vancouver, BC.

WHO YOU ARE:

You can maintain a high level of performance under pressure and are able to keep a positive attitude throughout all your interactions with candidates, customers and employees. RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for the quality control of our Valet team, and that first begins with hiring. Your job will be to assess hiring needs, to screen and hire the right individuals. You will also be responsible for training all new hires, re-training current employees, and continuously assessing the quality of service our employees provide. You will also be responsible for determining the effectiveness of our training programs and will help our Valet team maintain a high level of customer service excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of Valet or Customer Service experience
  • Previous valet experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with training new hires and conducting orientations
  • Familiarity with using Indeed to recruit
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check

SHUTTLE BUS DRIVER (Vancouver, Part-Time)

WestPark is looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual to join our team in Downtown Vancouver. This is a part-time position.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Arrive on shift, in uniform and well groomed
  • Perform exterior and interior vehicle inspection, including checking vehicle fluids, tires etc.
  • Ensure interior and exterior of vehicle are maintained and clean
  • Welcome shuttle bus guests in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Assist any passengers requiring assistance with parcels when getting on and off the shuttle bus
  • Provide information regarding the property and surrounding points of interest
  • Communicate clearly the pick-up locations and route operating hours
  • Drive professionally and defensively, aware of lanes, pedestrians and other distractions
  • Thank the travelling guests for their patronage and wish them a good visit

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Class 4 (unrestricted) BC Driver's License
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Previous experience as a shuttle bus driver, or professional driving experience is an asset

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a quick learner. You can effectively handle and assist departing guests with luggage loading and vehicle entry assistance

  • Ability to monitor taxi queue lines and service heavy volumes, in a calm and professional manner
  • Representing stakeholders with the utmost professionalism
  • Arranging and coordinating taxi pick up services
  • Coordinating with Valet team to provide optimal guest experience
  • Provide cashiering services when necessary
  • Courteous, gracious and above and beyond approach to hospitality
